Vincent Privacy Policy

Vincent is a local-first cross-platform digital paper and pen app. Notes, sketches, canvases, exports, and settings stay on your device. The purchased version makes one narrowly scoped online request when you ask its License Manager to validate a license.

Local Content

Vincent does not upload or synchronize canvas content, does not use analytics or advertising SDKs, and does not access a device advertising identifier.

• No canvas, note, sketch, export, or preference is sent to iisacc.
• No analytics, ads, behavioral profiling, or third-party tracking SDKs.
• No in-app account registration or password is required.

Online License Validation

When you explicitly validate a purchased license, Vincent sends the verified purchase email, the fixed product ID vincent, and the license key to the iisacc license-validation API over HTTPS. The server returns a Boolean validity decision. These values are used only to verify the corresponding account product entitlement and prevent unauthorized key use; they are not used for analytics, advertising, or profiling.

The database stores the account-product entitlement, license generation and status, and a one-way HMAC digest of the key rather than the plaintext key. Invalid attempts are rate-limited using an HMAC-pseudonymized requester address retained for no more than 24 hours. Vincent does not send a device identifier, hardware fingerprint, canvas content, or usage history with this request.

On-Device Storage

Any sketches, exports, or preferences you save remain on your device. You can remove all data at any time by deleting the app or removing its local files.

Third-Party Services

AWS hosts the iisacc validation API and database on the Operator's behalf and necessarily processes ordinary connection metadata to deliver HTTPS. If you choose to open another external link, that service is governed by its own privacy policy.

Children's Privacy

Vincent is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly solicit their information.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
